Children’s eye tests are covered by the NHS, helping to ensure everychild has access to professional eyecare. If your child needs glasses orcontact lenses, the NHS also provides help towards the cost.

Myopia management for children

Short-sightedness (myopia) is becoming more common in children. If your child’s distance vision is worsening, early support can help manage how it progresses.

We offer myopia management options, including misight and other soft contacts for myopia progression, which are worn at night and removed in the morning. These lenses can help children see clearly during the day without glasses and may help slow the myopia progression spectacle options as well.

You can learn more about this option on our Ortho-K contact lenses page.

Support with reading and visual comfort

Some children experience headaches, eye strain or difficulties when reading. In certain cases, coloured overlays or coloured lenses can help improve visual comfort and enjoyment of reading.

We provide assessments that can identify whether coloured overlays may be helpful and can guide you further through our Colorimetry services.
